One of the tools that is attracting the most attention these days is the one that has just been presented by a group of researchers from the Chinese Academy of Engineering Physics , nothing less than a powerful laser weapon with considerable power that, as they have already demonstrated during field tests with 30 small remotely piloted unmanned aircraft, is capable of shooting down drones flying at low altitude.

This weapon, as its developers have stated, is the first of its kind in the world and can be coordinated with radar. When fired, it is apparently capable of disabling a drone, as it has enough power to burn and erode the target's surface and functional parts. As a side note, studies suggest that one of these weapons could cover an area of ​​12 square kilometers.
As discussed in the previous section, this weapon has enough power to burn certain functional parts and components, enough to bring down the drone, which means that all the internal electronics, covered by these parts, remain intact, something essential to be able to identify the owner of the drone.
