Beyond size, the company is committed to providing it with creator-level features: 1 / 1,3 inch sensor, 10-bit video with D-Log M, dual-pronged stabilization, and a multifunctional dock that acts as a display, charger, and remote control. The idea is to make both setup and daily use as simple as possible, even on impromptu outings.

Magnetic design and construction

DJI Handheld Camera Magnetic Design

The Osmo Nano bets on a double-sided magnetic design allowing it to be quickly attached to caps, helmets, belts, or even pet collars. The system supports a wide range of official and third-party accessories, making it easy to switch from chest-mounted to helmet-mounted without tools.

With a weight of 52 grams and dimensions of 57 × 29 × 28 mm, it is one of the most discreet cameras in its category. The main unit is waterproof up to 10 meters without a case, while the multifunctional dock offers protection IPX4 splash-proof when used as a base or remote control.

Included in the standard package are: key supports to start recording from the first minute: magnetic cap clip, magnetic strap, a protective case, and a ball-and-socket adapter for quick framing adjustments. The mount is secure and allows you to point the camera in multiple directions without any complications.

Image quality and stabilization

4K image quality from portable camera

The heart of the system is a 1 / 1,3 inch sensor supported by high-performance processing reaching up to 13,5 stops of dynamic rangeThis translates into better light and shadow reading and less noise, especially in low-light scenes.

In video, the camera records in 4K is 60 fps and offers slow motion to 4K / 120, with an ultra-wide field of view of 143° to capture more footage without the need for additional accessories. The workflow is enhanced with video 10-bit and D-Log M profile, which opens up the color range and facilitates grading in post-production.

For night scenes or complex interiors, the SuperNight mode applies noise reduction and specific adjustments that seek to preserve detail and color. In parallel, the stabilization section combines Horizon Balancing (keeps the horizon level with corrections of ±30°) and RockSteady 3.0, which compensates for jolts and vibrations while moving.

The sound is also taken care of: the Osmo Nano integrates two microphones for stereo capture and supports OsmoAudio Direct Connection, so two DJI microphone transmitters can be linked without a dedicated receiver to enhance voice in noisy environments.

Dock, autonomy and connectivity

Its magnetic connection allows you to mount the camera in any direction and alternate horizontal / vertical without having to disassemble the assembly.

In autonomy, DJI indicates that the battery reaches up to 200 minutes in 1080p/24 when the camera is docked and fully charged. In Stamina mode, the Osmo Nano can record up to 60 minutes in 4K/30, enough for a session with breaks between clips.

Fast charging is another plus point: the system replenishes up to 80% in about 20 minutes. In addition, the dock includes a slot for microSD card and offers high-speed USB-C cable transfers, with peak speeds of up to 600MB / s on compatible devices, speeding up the upload of material to mobile phones or computers.
