Valencia will look up to the sky on the eve of October 9th with a drone show at the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències, an event that will bring together thousands of people by the complex's lakes to enjoy illuminated figures in the heart of the city.
The night show, scheduled at 23:00 p.m., brings together more than two hundred aircrafts that will draw marine scenes for a few fifteen minutesTitled "Oceans," the project integrates music and light to create a visual narrative about the sea and its biodiversity, without the use of smoke and mirrors.
Schedule, location and recommended areas
The exhibition will begin to the 23: 00 in the environment of the City of Arts and Sciences. According to the organization, it can be seen from outside the complex, with special visibility in the so-called Marathon Square (between the Monteolivete bridge, López Piñero avenue and Instituto Obrero street).
It is also recommended to place yourself between the lakes of the Museu de les Ciències and the Hemisfèric, where the black background of the sky and the reflection of the water favor the perception of colors and transitions. In all cases, it is advisable to arrive early to find a place and respect the security corridors that the technicians delimit.
The event is promoted by the Valencian generalitat as part of the official program for October 9th. The experience is presented as a visual walk through the ocean, with an immersive soundtrack and pauses designed to help the audience identify each figure without missing a beat.

This is what "Oceans" will be like: choreography and technology
The heart of the show is a aerial choreography which transforms each drone into a “pixel” in the sky. Coordinated by software, they draw schools of fish, corals and sea creatures with seamless transitions that sync with the music.
One of the most commented passages is the appearance of a luminous whale about 60 meters long which slowly advances over the complex, followed by dolphins that spiral before vanishing in a shower of flashes.
The proposal combines art and technical precision: the drones used for light usually weigh less than 1 kg and, using 3D design tools, reproduce millions of RGB colors to achieve gradients and volume effects. Each path is pre-simulated to ensure the safety and sharpness of the figures.
As a novelty, the assembly incorporates 18 Cold Spark Drones which add controlled flashes without an open flame. This solution, used for the first time in Valencia in a show of this nature, enhances the conclusion of some scenes without resorting to pyrotechnics.

What comes next: midnight fireworks and mascletà
After the drones fly, the sky will light up again. to the 23: 59 with a Fireworks castle from the Monteolivete Bridge, by Mediterranean Pyrotechnics. The shot, with around 819 kg of gunpowder, will alternate rhythms and colors with fan-shaped closures and a large final palm tree.
Already on the Day of the Valencian Community, the traditional mascletà del 9 d'Octubre will resonate in the Town Hall Square After the civic procession, around 14:00 p.m. The Tamarit Fireworks company has prepared the "Valentia" fireworks display, with some 186 kg of gunpowder and a sequence designed to highlight the key moments of the day.
As usual, the Civic Procession and the offering to Jaume I They will mark the central stretch of the big day, matching the timings of the fireworks so that attendees can connect events without overlapping.

With a start to 23:00, more of 200 drones and a visual script inspired by the sea, "Oceans" is shaping up to be the big draw on the eve of October 9th; next up is the 23:59 PM Castle and mascletà the following day complete a night and a day that combine innovation, tradition and the best soundtrack in the city.
