Laser technology in O PorriƱo

O PorriƱo will once again be at the center of the European technological map thanks to a program that brings together experts, companies, and users from the sector. Aimen is promoting the tenth edition of International Laser Week, an event that will be held From October 13 to 17 with technical activities, demonstrations and debate around industrial laser.

Among the most relevant new features is a session dedicated to the application of artificial intelligence in manufacturing processes and their monitoring, with a focus on improving efficiency, precision, and processing control.

An educational activity is planned for Monday the 13th in schools in the Vigo metropolitan area, where students in the 5th year of Primary School and the 1st year of Baccalaureate will learn about photonics and its industrial uses. This initiative, organized in conjunction with the Ministry of Education as part of Creative Poles, seeks to awaken vocations and explain laser technology in an entertaining way.

On Tuesday 14th, from 9:00 to 16:30, the Workshop Pioneer in Additive Manufacturing, focused on the digitalization of the productive ecosystem and successful collaborative experiences in the industrial field.

On Thursday 16th, from 15:00 PM to 18:00 PM, the focus will be on the Workshop Operatic and Fabulous, with special attention to the dynamic beam forming in laser processingThis technology allows the beam's shape and distribution to be tailored to each application, increasing productivity and quality in sectors such as aeronautics, automotive, energy, and consumer goods.

On Friday the 17th the Laser Recharging Workshop, a technical session dedicated to the trends, materials, industrial challenges, and monitoring systems of this technology, with a practical, industry-oriented approach.

XIX Conference on Materials Processing with Laser Technology

In parallel, on October 15 and 16, the following events will take place: XIX Conference on Materials Processing with Laser Technology, consolidated as a reference forum to learn about advances and uses of lasers in sectors such as aerospace, energy, automotive or metalworking.

As a differentiating element of this edition, a specific session dedicated to the AI applied to laser manufacturing and monitoring, with the aim of further improving efficiency, precision and process control capacity.
