Migrate from iPhone: more data and no wires

This feature is already available on some Pixel phones and also comes standard on the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Flip8. Google has confirmed that the tool will be progressively rolled out to other devices receiving Android 17, making it easier for many more users to switch from iOS. For it to work, the iPhone must have iOS 26.3 or later installed.
Motorola joins the Android 17 beta program
Motorola hasn't been left behind and has already begun distributing the Android 17 beta version for three of its most popular models. Reportedly, the devices that can access this update are the Motorola Signature, the Moto G57 Power, and the Motorola Edge 70. The beta, which weighs around 4 GB, includes new features such as app bubbles , which allow for floating windows that minimize and remain accessible on the screen, as well as privacy and security improvements, such as automatic locking in case of theft.
In addition, the update brings new clocks for the lock screen and improvements to Live Activities, which now work with calls, music, and more. Motorola has also fixed several bugs from previous versions. The rollout is taking place in several regions, including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India, and Brazil , meaning that Spanish users with these models can opt for the beta.
To access the beta, interested users must first register for Motorola's beta program through their website, entering their phone's IMEI. Once accepted, they will receive an OTA update, which they can check for in Settings > Software Update. However, the process may take hours or days, as it is rolled out in stages.
With these two new features, Android 17 solidifies its position as a key update for the ecosystem. Migrating from iPhone becomes much simpler and faster, while the Motorola beta demonstrates that the operating system continues to expand to more manufacturers.
