eos 2024

The world of open source technology is preparing for an important event: Embedded Open Source Summit 2024 (EOSS 2024). Hosted by the Linux Foundation, the summit will take place April 16-18 and promises to be a showcase of the latest in Linux for embedded systems, Zephyr OS, and Real-Time Linux.

Even if you cannot be physically present, they have created a virtual agenda to closely follow the talks and sessions available for Also see online through its official YouTube channel, as happened with last year's event.

What to see at EOSS 2024?

For example, among the most interesting topics that will be discussed at this EOSS 2024 event include:

  • Neil Armstrong, from Linaro, will discuss in his conference the importance of bringing Linux-based platforms to the upstream, as well as some challenges.
  • Jason Murphy of Analog Devices will also present on how single-pair Ethernet and Zephyr OS can enable more secure real-time connectivity in the industry.
  • Sibi Sankar and Rajendra Nayak, from Qualcomm, will be in charge of talking about the development of the Linux kernel to support the Snapdragon X1 Elite SoC.
  • Alejandro Piñeiro Iglesias, from the Spanish company Igalia, will also discuss challenges and solutions for the development of the OpenGL/Vulkan driver for the new Raspberry Pi 5 GPU.
  • Bootlin's Maxime Chevallier will also cover Ethernet drivers in Linux.
  • Davide Ricci from Linaro will have a talk that is yet to be announced…
  • Dhruva Gole and Jonathan Bergsagel of Texas Instruments will also discuss power management through ARM SCMI.
  • And even more announcements may arrive for the days of EOSS 2024, so we will have to stay tuned...

Of course, there will also be a time to have a coffee and rest, as well as a lunch for attendees…
