Prodrone presents its new ideal drone for inspection of ceilings and vertical surfaces

Prodone 's marketing department has just released a press statement announcing the creation of a new drone model specifically designed for inspecting vertical surfaces and ceilings . As you can see in the image at the top of this post, the drone, instead of flying autonomously or using similar technology, literally climbs the surface in question, moving along it on wheels.

As you're probably thinking, this allows for a more detailed analysis of pressure and other characteristics , instead of analyzing different surfaces from a distance, as was done until now with other types of drones. This allows for locating possible fractures in the structure, such as cracks or other critical damage, from a much closer location and without fear of possible impacts or accidents.

The Prodrone drone will allow inspections on vertical surfaces and ceilings.

If you're even remotely familiar with Prodrone, the design of this new model, dubbed the PD6-CI-L , will likely look quite familiar. As the company itself announces, it was inspired by the PD4-CI, a model unveiled to the public last April. This time, the design features an L-shape, allowing the drone to instantly transition from a vertical surface to a ceiling or vice versa, thus improving upon the capabilities of the model that served as its basis, which could only inspect vertical surfaces.

Going into a little more detail, the new Prodrone model stands out for certain aspects such as its weight, at only two kilograms, its dimensions of 600 x 418 mm , and its 10-minute flight time at a maximum speed of 5 kilometers per hour when inspecting a structure, or 20 kilometers per hour in free flight mode. These figures are achieved thanks to the use of a dual 6.000 mAh battery.
