On more than one occasion we have talked about UDOO's proposals, this time I want to introduce you to the latest novelty that is about to hit the market, a board named UDOO X86 which, according to its own developers and designers, at least in terms of power and data processing capacity, would be about 10 times more powerful than the famous and always interesting Raspberry Pi 3.
Regarding technical specifications, the UDOO X86 is offered in three different versions. The basic version features a 2.00 GHz Intel Quad Core processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 8 GB of eMMC storage. Above that is the advanced version , which includes a 2.24 GHz Intel Quad Core processor, 4 GB of RAM, and 8 GB of storage. Finally, the UDOO X86 Ultra boasts a 2,56 GHz Intel Pentium Quad Core processor, along with 8 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. Storage can be expanded via SD card in all versions.

In addition to all of the above, it's even more interesting to know that it features an HDMI port, two Mini DP++ ports, three USB 3.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, a SATA connector, a MicroSD card reader, Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity… and on top of all this, the UDOO X86 has integrated sensors such as a six-axis accelerometer and a gyroscope. Without a doubt, at least in terms of technical specifications, it's worth mentioning that they've managed to design a truly amazing card.
If you're interested in a board like this, it's worth remembering that the UDOO X86 is fully compatible with Arduino 101 , so you can run any software from this platform. Furthermore, if you want to use it for gaming, it can run any software or program available for PC. If you're interested in getting one, there's currently a Kickstarter campaign to raise €100.000, which has already been far surpassed.
